Visual Assignment: Newspaper Blackout Poetry
Today on my way back from class I grabbed the school’s bullet and read a few articles then decided to recycle the paper with this project. I grabbed the section that was a review of an album. I started reading and started underlining words that flowed together.
The ground reaches across generations and covered with grime.
Once I cut it out I scanned it onto my computer and cropped it. I like the effect that a scanned image has. I tried taking a picture of it at first but I couldn’t get it to come out right without being too far away. The assignment was really cool and there are so many combinations and creativity that can be created.

Wow, I love this one. Like Linda, I have hesitated not knowing where to start, but using the local paper was very smart.
How long did it take to pull the message out (which is a powerful one)? Lastly I like that you did it in an analog fashion, and then brought it back into the digital space.
